1. Herman Chinery-Hesse (1963–2024) 

Chinery Hesse

Herman Chinery-Hesse, often referred to as the “Bill Gates of Africa,” was a trailblazer in Ghana’s technology sector. As the founder of theSOFTtribe, Ghana’s oldest and largest software company, he championed solutions tailored to African needs. His work emphasized innovation, addressing unique challenges like erratic power supply and connectivity issues. Herman passed away on September 17, 2024, at age 60, leaving behind a legacy of technological transformation.

2. Akua Donkor (1952–2024) 

Akua Donkor

Akua Donkor, the founderof the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), was a unique voice in Ghanaian politics. Known for her grassroots campaigns and bold personality, she advocated for policies to uplift marginalized communities. Her charisma and candidness endeared her to many. Akua Donkor passed away on October 28, 2024, at 72, marking the end of an era in grassroots political advocacy.

3. Bright Owusu (C-Confion) (1990–2024)

Bright Owusu, popularly known as C-Confion, was a rising star in Ghana’s comedy and entertainment industry. As a member of Dr. Likee’s troupe, he brought joy and laughter to countless fans through his dynamic performances. 4. Osman Idris (Yogot) (1985–2024) 

Osman Idris, affectionately called Yogot, was an actor celebrated for his role in the “Junka Town” films, a staple in Ghanaian cinema. 5. George Darko (1951–2024)

6. Naa Amanua (1948/49–2024) 

Mary Naa Amanua Dodoo, known as Naa Amanua, was a celebrated Ga folk musician and the lead singer of the Wulomei music group. 7. Albert Jackson-Davis (1950–2024) 

Albert Jackson-Davis was a veteran actor whose career spanned decades. Known for his memorable roles in Ghanaian cinema and television, he was a pillar of the entertainment industry. He passed away on September 14, 2024, but his influence on Ghanaian storytelling endures.
