The police through an intelligence-led operation have arrested three persons in connection with a robbery incident which took place at East Legon in Accra on 18 August, 2024.
In a terse statement on Tuesday (28 August), the police said the suspects were arrested in a series of coordinated operations.
“While suspects Isaac Brena Eshun and Peter Amuzu, were arrested on 21 and 23 August respectively in Accra, suspect Ibrahim Mohammed was arrested at Tamale on 24 August 2024. Exhibits recovered from them include two iPhones, a Mercedes-Benz C180, and three additional vehicles suspected to have been obtained through illegal means,” the statement said.
The police say investigations have so far revealed that the suspects are part of a criminal syndicate involved in the robbery and sale of stolen vehicles across the country.
“All the suspects are in police custody assisting the investigation,” the statement added.
