Ghana forward Brandon Thomas-Asante hails Ellis Simms partnership in Coventry City's win

Ghana international Brandon Thomas-Asante has hailed his partnership with Ellis Simms following Coventry Citys victory over Swansea City in the Championship.The Black Stars attacker scored and assisted a goal as his outfit cruised to a 2-0 victory over their opponent on Saturday.Coventry took the lead in the 17th minute when Thomas-Asante turned provider, setting up Ellis Simms, who coolly slotted home from close range.Just before halftime, Thomas-Asante doubled the visitors' advantage in spectacular fashion. Picking up the ball outside the box, the Ghana winger unleashed a stunning right-footed strike into the top corner, leaving the Swansea keeper helpless.I think anyone that plays up front with a striker like Ellis makes it easier for you because hes one of the most honest strikers that youll see he works hard, and hes naturally blessed with that physique that you see intimidates defenders and he gets himself in positions and hes an unselfish striker as well.So, it makes it really good, we changed to a front two and I know that I enjoy it not just me and Ellis, but you have all the others; Norman, Haji, and you had Ephron coming in off the side when he was playing getting in positions.Just being able to link together with any of the combinations we have the talent and the relationships to do that as a unit and we all back each other and want each other to do well so it does help.Thomas-Asantes goal and assist bring his season tally to four goals and two assists in 29 Championship appearances.
