Akwasi Acquah, the Member of Parliament for Akim Oda, has made a startling revelation about the chaos that erupted during the ministerial vetting on January 30, leading to the suspension of four MPs by the Speaker of Parliament.

Speaking in an interview on Oyerepa TV, Acquah alleged that amid the commotion, one MP hid under a table and physically assaulted Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor, the MP for South Dayi, in a bizarre and painful manner.

“What I want to say is if the Speaker wants to suspend, then a lot of people must be suspended. I must also be suspended. Someone, an MP, hid under the tables and held the balls of one of the MPs. The person (victim) was screaming. Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor was screaming a lot, but we didn’t know what was happening. The camera didn’t capture that. When Dafeamekpor was screaming and shouting, it meant his balls had been touched. He kept saying someone has squeezed my balls. I saw the suspect, but I can’t mention his name,” Acquah disclosed.

His comments come in the wake of the Speaker’s decision to suspend four MPs for their roles in the disturbances during the vetting session. While the Speaker’s ruling targeted specific lawmakers for their involvement in the chaotic scenes, Acquah’s claims suggest that more MPs may have engaged in unrecorded incidents of misconduct.

The incident, which has sparked widespread debate, adds another layer of controversy to the already heated tensions surrounding the vetting process.
