A Ghanaian man living in the United States has raised concerns about dwindling church attendance among Ghanaians in the diaspora.
In a video shared online, he claimed that despite favourable weather, a local church was closed on a Sunday—a day traditionally dedicated to worship in Christianity.
The church in question, Pentecost International Worship Center (P.I.W.C.), is located at 91 Washington St., Rocky Hill, NJ 08553, USA.
The man expressed his surprise at finding the building empty and speculated that attendance might decline further if harsher winter conditions set in.
His concerns highlight a growing trend where many Ghanaian churches abroad struggle with declining attendance, possibly due to changing lifestyles, work schedules, or shifting religious commitments.
While some churches have adapted by introducing virtual services, the physical absence of congregants continues to be a challenge.
