In the wake of a widespread global IT outage, Absa South Africa has confirmed that its digital banking channels, point-of-sale services, and ATMs are again fully operational.
The outage affected multiple industries worldwide including Sky News and Delta Airlines.
Absa South Africa took to social media to assure customers that their services have been restored and are available. The announcement, made via a tweet on X on Friday 19 July thanked customers for their patience during the disruption.

The global IT outage, reportedly linked to a software update by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, caused disruptions across various sectors.
