Kofi Adams nominated as Minister for Sports and Recreation

President John Mahama has nominated Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency Kofi Adams as Minister of Sports and Recreation.

The nomination was confirmed on Tuesday (21 January), when the third batch of ministerial appointments was announced for Parliamentary approval.

Kofi, who will go through vetting, replaces Mustafa Ussif, who served as Minister of Sports from 2021 under the New Patriotic Party led by Nana Akufo-Addo.

The 49-year-old, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with an emphasis on the Epidemiology of Parasitic Diseases has a wealth of experience in both education and politics.

His political career includes several significant roles, including serving as the NDC’s National Organizer and as its former deputy General Secretary.
