Police invite A Plus over Ahmed Suale’s death

The Ghana Police Service has invited Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, to assist it in unravelling issues surrounding the death of Ahmed Suale.

Kwame A. Plus, in a video livestream on Facebook, indicated that he has information on who killed Ahmed Suale.

However, he indicated that he would not assist the Police with the information because he was not protected the last time he volunteered information to the police.

A plus said he would only assist the police if he is provided with protection.

But the Police in a statement on Monday July 15, 2024 said the social commentator has been invited by the Police to assist them in unravelling the issues surrounding the death of the Journalist.

Suale was shot dead in Accra, Ghana’s capital, on January 16, 2019, in an apparent contract killing. He worked as a reporter for Tiger Eye P.I.

The Ghana Police Service has today, 15th July 2024, invited Mr. Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, to assist Police ongoing investigation into the death of Ahmed Suale, following his recent claims on social media that he has some information regarding the case.

The Cold Case Unit established in October 2021, under the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to handle cases of this nature has been working on the investigation into the case and closely engaging with the deceased’s family.

The Police is therefore pleased that Mr. Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus) has made indication that he has some information that could assist the ongoing investigation, and he has been invited accordingly.
