President Akufo-Addo has promoted five Deputy Commissioners of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) to the rank of Commissioners.
The announcement, made by the Comptroller-General of Immigration, Kwame Asuah Takyi (Esq.), during a Thanksgiving Service held at the GIS Headquarters in Accra.
The newly promoted Commissioners are Maud Anima Quainoo, Yaw Owusu Achiaw, Samuel Ayer, Evelyn Lotsu, and Prudence Aku Sosu. This elevation recognizes their dedication and service to the nation.
Comptroller-General Takyi, addressing attendees, lauded the appointees for their exemplary leadership and commitment. He further expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for his unwavering support for the Ghana Immigration Service.
The event showcased the musical talents of the GIS Dance Band and the Inspirational Choir. The occasion also highlighted the Service’s achievements over the year and its vision for the future.
