Mahama accepts early retirement of Bank of Ghana’s second Deputy Governor

President John Dramani Mahama has accepted the decision of Mrs. Elsie Addo Awadzi, the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, to take early retirement, effective February 28, 2025.

In an official statement released by the Presidency on Friday, February 7, 2025, the President expressed gratitude for Mrs. Awadzi’s distinguished service to both the Bank and the Republic of Ghana. He also extended his best wishes for her future endeavors.

The statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, acknowledges Mrs. Awadzi’s contributions to the country’s financial sector during her tenure.
