Brigadier-General Paul Kulono is Acting Director-General of GPHA

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Brigadier-General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono as Acting Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority.

Brigadier-General Tanye-Kulono, a distinguished military officer and legal expert, serves as Deputy Commandant of the National College of Defence Studies (NCDS).

He holds a Masters in Management Studies from Osmania University in India, alongside a Master of Arts in International Affairs from the University of Ghana. Also, he was called to the Ghana Bar in 2015.

In addition to his academic achievements, his professional career includes training from prestigious military institutions, including the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the United States Army Command and Staff College, and the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre.

He has held key leadership roles, including Chief Coordinator at NCDS and Deputy Director-General of Training at the Ghana Armed Forces’ General Headquarters.

Brigadier-General Tanye-Kulono brings expertise in peacekeeping operations, counterterrorism, and strategic defense management.

Having served as Deputy Force Provost Marshall and Officer in Charge of Special Investigations at UNIFIL Headquarters.

His experience in military leadership and security strategy is expected to be instrumental in his new role at GPHA.
