Dr. Amoakohene vows to prioritize development across Ashanti Region

The Ashanti Regional Minister-designate Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has assured residents of his commitment to completing stalled projects across the region.

In an interview with Channel One News, he emphasized the need to focus on continuity in development and urged a united front to achieve shared goals.

“We touched on many projects when we were in power, and I will seek the President’s help to complete them, including those started by the previous administration.

Our focus will be on finishing existing projects before initiating new ones,” Dr. Amoakohene stated.

His remarks resonate with the region’s ongoing concerns about abandoned infrastructure and delayed initiatives.

Over the years, the Ashanti Region, a key hub for economic and cultural activities in Ghana, has seen several projects stall, often due to changes in political administration or funding constraints.

Dr. Amoakohene’s approach signals a shift towards bipartisan development, as he highlighted the importance of addressing initiatives left by both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). By doing so, he aims to foster unity and ensure the efficient utilization of resources.

Beyond infrastructure, the minister-designate expressed his desire to connect with residents on a personal level.

“I want people to see me as one of them. If you’re older, see me as your son or younger brother. If I make mistakes, approach me without fear so I can correct them. Together, we will reach the destination we all envision,” he said.
