Former President of Ghana and leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama intends to fight corruption in his next administration.
He intends to enforce the asset declaration regime, indicating that members of his administration will have 30 days to declare all their assets when he takes over power.
The former president was speaking at an event when he made this known.
He said, “Our commitment is to review and enforce the asset declaration regime to promote transparency and combat corruption. In this regard, I will require all members of my administration to declare their assets within 30 days of assuming office.
The former president further complained about the loss of trust in public institutions by the Ghanaian people.
He indicated that he intends to do more to build trust by reviewing codes of conduct for public officeholders to promote ethical leadership, professionalism and efficiency.
