Mahama has proven leadership with decisions taken so far – Gyampo

Political science lecturer at the University of Ghana, Ransford Gyampo is of the view that John Dramani Mahama has shown leadership by not blaming his predecessor for the challenges bequeathed to him.

Rather, he has assured the citizenry that he will fix the challenges that the university lecturer believes were deliberately handed down to him.

Ransford Gyampo noted that unlike the former government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, which blamed Covid and the Russian-Ukraine war and their predecessor even after governing for eight years for their failures, Mahama has proven a few days in government that he is capable.

His post shared via social media read “He gets in the driving seat to see his predecessor’s incompetence that would plunge Ghana into darkness and resolves never to blame but to fix the problem. He assures his citizens that he would keep the country switched on regardless of the challenges deliberately handed down to him. This is leadership.

Others blamed their Covid and Russian-Ukraine war and their predecessor even after governing for eight years for their failures.

Is this not true? And you say we shouldn’t say it? Even when you were in power, we said it bluntly!”.
