Mahama appoints Prosper Bani, Gbevlo-Lartey, Kofi Boakye, and others to National Security team

President-elect John Mahama has appointed a six-member team to manage the national security of the country temporarily, until permanent appointments are made.

The team will be led by Prosper Douglas Bani, who is a former Interior Minister, according to a statement issued on Friday (3 January) by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a Special Aide to the President-elect

Other members include: Lt. General Peter Augustine Blay (Rtd.), former Chief of Defence Staff, Kofi Totobi Quakyi, former National Security Minister, Larry Gbevlo-Lartey Esq., former National Security Coordinator, Brigadier General Fuseini Iddrissu (Rtd.), and COP Nathaniel Kofi Boakye (Rtd.).

The team will begin their work on Tuesday, 7th January 2025.
