Reports that Prof. Ken Attafuah resigned untrue; he retired from active service—NIA

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has clarified that Professor Ken Attafuah did not resign from the outfit, as is being reported by some media outlets.

A statement from their outfit said, “The venerable Professor Attafuah has graciously exited the NIA following the natural completion of his post-retirement contract”.

The NIA used the opportunity to “extend our heartfelt gratitude once again to Professor Attafuah for his seven years of remarkable leadership, commitment, and service to the NIA and to Ghana”.

The statement clarifying his retirement said “Correction of Erroneous Publication on Professor Kenneth Agyemang Attafuah’s Exit from NIA

It has come to our attention that some media outlets have erroneously reported that Professor Kenneth Agyemang Attafuah “has resigned” from his role as Executive Secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA).

We would like to clarify that this is inaccurate. The venerable Professor Attafuah has graciously exited the NIA following the natural completion of his post-retirement contract.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude once again to Professor Attafuah for his seven years of remarkable leadership, commitment, and service to the NIA and to Ghana.

We celebrate his accomplishments and wish him every success in his future endeavours”.
