How can a Doctor make such a ridiculous comment?- Tikese descends on NPP MP

Renowned Broadcast Journalist with Accra-based Okay Fm, Kwame Nkrumah Tikese has descended heavily on New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Effiduase-Asokore in the Ashanti Region Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye over his recent comments about the galamsey menace.

During the weekend, Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie during a campaign tour accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of sponsoring the pollution of water bodies across the country for electoral gains.

He further alleged that the NDC, sensing defeat ahead of the December 7 elections, has resorted to creating confusion in Accra with needless protests to mislead the electorate for votes.

Reacting to the utterances of Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, Kwame Nkrumah Tikese lambasted the NPP MP describing his comments as below the belt.

“If NDC brought people from Burkina to indulge in galamsey activities, what stops you from stopping the activities? You are a Doctor so your comment was below the belt. I was expecting you to speak more sense, not political talks. It seems political parties are so desperate for power.” 

“I wished your family members drank from the polluted water. The only thing you care about is winning power, you don’t care about people’s lives. Speak with sense, Ghanaians are not animals. Some of these politicians talk like schoolchildren. What kind of nonsense is that? he quizzed in anger.
