Head of Public Relations and Strategy at the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, says his outfit is keen on ensuring the Black Stars produce good results.

The senior national team will open camp on Monday, September 2 in Accra for their first two games of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger next month.

Ghana takes on Angola on Thursday, September 5 at the Baba Yara Stadium before taking on Niger on September 9 in Morocco in the first two games in Group F.

However, speaking to ChannelOne Sports, Mr Mortagbe they are bent on ensuring Otto Addo and his charges perform well.

“Pressure is the name of the game. Everybody is under pressure. We (GFA) believe in the fact that there is still love, there is still energy towards our Black Stars. So for those who are administering the game and those who are in leadership positions, we cannot see the work our 12th man, the supporters are doing and just sit in a place of comfort. No way," he said.

“We are keen to ensure, that we at our level as administrators do everything we can to support the technical team, to support the players and give to Ghanaians the quality of football that they deserve, give to Ghanaians the quality of football that our talents deserve and hopefully through that combination of factors, we should be seeing a much more improved performance at the next AFCON," he added.

Otto Addo will hope to build on their back-to-back wins against Angola and Central African Republic (CAR) in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in June.
