As the English summer transfer window approaches its deadline on Friday (30 August) at 10:00 PM GMT, Fulham have reportedly joined the chase to sign Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah.
According to The Athletic, the London-based club is keen on securing the 20-year-old’s services before the window closes.
Nuamah, who recently completed a permanent move to Olympique Lyonnais from Belgian club RWD Molenbeek for €28.50 million has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs, including Everton and Nottingham Forest.
His impressive performances during a loan spell with Lyon last season, where he netted seven goals and provided three assists in 39 appearances, have made him a sought-after talent.
Fulham’s head coach Marco Silva, having missed out on Lyon’s Rayan Cherki, is now focusing on Nuamah as a key target and with Lyon currently facing financial difficulties, they are reportedly willing to sell the Ghanaian international for around €30 million.
Nuamah has featured in both of Lyon’s Ligue 1 matches this season, and his potential departure would be a significant loss for the French club.
As the transfer window countdown intensifies, Fulham will be hoping to finalise a deal that could bolster their squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
