East Legon Accident: Elrad Salifu Amoako remanded

The Ghana Police Service has announced that Elrad Salifu Amoako has been remanded into a correction centre by the juvenile and family court.

He is expected to reappear before the court on November 7, 2024.

Elrad Salifu Amoako has been charged with eight counts, including the offence of manslaughter.

Also, the juvenile’s travel documents have been deposited with the court.

It will be remembered that Elrad Salifu Amoako rammed into a vehicle, killing two 12-year-olds who were part of five people occupying the vehicle.

His parents and a shop attendant of his brother were picked up by the police but were given bail.

Early this week, his parents pleaded with the court to force the general public and especially the media to halt the circulation of their son’s pictures on social media.

Although remorseful, Salifu Amoako has indicated that his son did not kill anyone with a gun indicating that Ghanaians do not understand the situation at hand.
