Don’t betray the trust of Ghanaians in you -Mahama to EC

Flagbearer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has called on the Electoral Commission to not betray the trust of Ghanaians.

He argues that the call for a forensic audit of the voters register is not partisan but reflects the views of many Ghanaians.

John Dramani Mahama was hammering on the call made by Goasomanhene Nana Akwasi Bosomprah II when he met the Bono House of Chiefs during his campaign tour.

He said, “As I have stated on several occasions, the Commission cannot and must not betray the Ghanaian’s trust in the electoral body. The call for a forensic audit of the provisional voter register for the 2024 election is not partisan but reflects the views of many Ghanaians, as noted by Nana Goasomanhene”.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission has assured the people of Ghana of producing a robust voters register for the 2024 elections.

They have since opened their doors to the opposition political party to help address their grievances, stating that the process to finalize the voters register is in its early days.
