We know the challenges, and we will fix them – Ato Forson assures Mahama

Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the newly appointed Minister of Finance, made it clear that his dedication to Ghana’s progress would be unwavering.

Standing before President John Dramani Mahama, Forson acknowledged the challenges the country had faced under previous administrations and expressed a firm resolve to reverse the trajectory and make Ghana’s future brighter.

“Mr. President, we have been with you throughout your days in opposition,” Forson began, addressing Mahama directly.

“We have witnessed the misgoverning and misrule of the previous administration. We have learned indeed that Ghanaians will not tolerate such misgovernance any longer.”

He added, “We are also aware of the state of the Ghanaian economy; energy, agriculture, the justice system, and indeed the education sector,” he said.

His acknowledgement of these crucial sectors emphasized the need for an integrated approach to tackle the country’s most pressing problems.

Forson did not just stop at identifying the issues; he also assured the President and the nation that his ministry would waste no time in addressing these challenges.

“We want to assure you that while we start work today, we will begin the process to rest the country together with you and your team,” Forson declared.
