The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei South and Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Darkoa Newman, has broken her silence after losing her seat.
In a post shared via social media, Darkoa Newman indicated that although she did not achieve the ultimate, she was grateful that she represented the people of Okaikoi South in Parliament.
She called for unity in the New Patriotic Party urging everyone to come on board to build the political party.
Her post shared via social media read “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the good people of Okaikoi South for your sacrifices and commitment to democracy. Although we did not achieve the outcome we hoped for, I am forever grateful for the privilege of serving as Member of Parliament over the past four years.
Together, we have made significant strides, so let us forge ahead in unity for a better tomorrow.
I warmly congratulate Ernest Adomako on emerging victorious in this parliamentary election. I wish you the very best as you take on the mantle of leadership.
