One of the greatest Gospel musicians in Ghana, Esther Smith has said individuals deserve blame for how fast the country is deteriorating and not just the President.
“The way I see our country the individuals in our nation don’t help because even if things don’t go well in people’s lives the only person they blame is the President.
We want the President to do everything in this country but some of the things which don’t augur well aren’t only supposed to be done by the president,” she told Amansan Krakye as MyNewsGh.com reports.
The songwriter said contractors repairing the Tema Motorway potholes use inferior materials in order to make money whilst people are dying through accidents.
She posited “Since I came back from abroad I’ve realized that the Tema motorway has so many potholes but the government might have given money to a contractor to do it.
“But the contractor might use inferior materials to repair the road in order to make so much money and within a short time, we might have potholes on the motorway again which can lead to death.
So the government isn’t supposed to be blamed for everything but we the individuals deserve part of the blame for why the country is fast deteriorating,” she said on Property FM in Cape Coast.
