An Accra High Court has granted bail to nine of the over 50 protesters who were remanded in September for protesting against illegal mining.
The nine include Elorm Ababio Esq known popularly as Ama Governor.
Each of the protesters were given a bail of GHC 70,000.
They’re to report to the Police once a week.
Earlier, State Prosecutors are said to have opposed the bail application by lawyers of the nine protestors who joined the Democracy Hub protest against illegal mining but ended up being remanded into police custody.
