Ghana’s Parliament was thrown into a frenzy when a loud voice from the back bench of the Minority in Parliament called a Majority MP a “Daughter of a Murderer.”
It was even worrying when the voice kept justifying the comment as being factual because there was evidence to back the claim.
The voice clearly a male voice was heard shouting “Daughter of a murderer sit down, Daughter of a murderer sit down. There is evidence to back that her father killed people,” the voice said.
Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin who was on the floor addressing Parliament at the time was seen calling for calm among his members.
He clearly did not like the comment that came from the Member of Parliament on his side and made gestures pointing to the fact that it was needless and shouldn’t have come out.
The comments have been widely condemned by Ghanaians on social media who think that Parliament is gradually losing its essence and importance, considering the kind of comments that come from Honourable lawmakers.
