Ghanaians have expressed concern that Parliament is losing its relevance with the unnecessary drama.
A scuffle ensued between the Majority and Minority over the vetting of Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
The scuffle emanated from the minority’s call for the rest of the vetting for the day must be postponed.
The majority insisted that they could vet the remaining nominees, but the minority did not want to concede, leading to a subtle fight that saw the destruction of tables and microphones at the hall where the event took place.
Ghanaians on social media have expressed their opinions on the matter via social media and here is a sample of their opinions.

Let it be known that the destruction of parliamentary equipment was done by the NPP micro minority! pic.twitter.com/p3cmO2hn37— OkotaLampard (@LampardOko51138) January 30, 2025
There is no reason for the NDC to be sneaky, especially since the NPP has demonstrated good faith thus far. The NDC must be transparent and allow the process to unfold as agreed upon..
We must work together to protect and preserve our democracy.
