Former Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has indicated that national interest must always supersede personal interests.
He made this known when H.E. Charles Abani, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Ghana, visited him in his residence in Accra.
The 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) said “I reiterated my conviction that, as politicians, national interest must always supersede personal ambition”.
On his part, H.E. Charles Abani, who delivered a message to the former Vice President on behalf of the United Nations appreciated Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s contributions to Ghana’s peace, democracy, and development.
He mentioned that his early concession during the 2024 election was exemplary.
H.E. Charles Abani highlighted Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s vision and initiatives for Ghana’s digital economic transformation he championed as Vice President.
