‘One-term’ Mahama will loot Ghana’s resources when elected again – NPP Youth Organizer

Upper East Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salahu-Deen Musah Al-Khomeini has stated that former President John Mahama will likely be unaccountable to the people of Ghana when he is voted President again given that when he is elected, he will not be able to seek a second term due to the fact that he is constitutionally barred from doing so.

This, he noted, means former President John Mahama can misgovern, loot the state and get away with it because he would serve just one term.

In contrast, he explained that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the NPP, will have to be accountable because he qualifies for a second term and will have to render account of his leadership to win a second term.

“If you vote John Mahama, he goes there, he loots and shares with his cronies and he leaves office. However, with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, he still comes to us and he will be accountable to whatever he is going to do,” he explained today[ July 17, 2024] on Bolgatanga-based Dreamz FM’s Breakfast Today show.

Mr Al-Khomeini stressed that Dr Bawumia has what it takes to transform the country, appealing to Ghanaians to give him the nod come December 7, 2024. He is optimistic that the NPP will make considerable gains in the Upper East Region by winning more parliamentary seats
