The Majority Caucus in Parliament has announced a significant reshuffle in its leadership following Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson’s recent appointment as the Minister of Finance.
This transition from his previous role as Majority Leader has led to a reorganisation of key leadership positions within the Caucus.
The reshuffle is designed to strengthen the leadership structure and support the advancement of the Majority’s governance agenda.
Mahama Ayariga, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, has been appointed as the new Majority Leader, succeeding Dr. Forson. Kweku George Ricketts-Hagan, MP for Cape Coast South, will now serve as the Deputy Majority Leader.
Other changes include Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, MP for South Dayi, stepping into the role of Majority Chief Whip, replacing Governs Agbodza.
Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, the MP for Ada Constituency, has been appointed as the First Deputy Whip, while Richard Acheampong, MP for Bia East, will take on the position of Second Deputy Majority Whip.
These leadership adjustments are intended to improve coordination and strengthen the Majority Caucus as they pursue their legislative and governance priorities.
