Kwesi Appiah guides Sudan to qualify for AFCON 2025

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has led Sudan to qualify for AFCON 2025 in Morocco.

A goalless draw in Angola was enough to qualify the Sudanese team that has been playing away from home all these qualifiers.

The achievement is remarkable considering the political instability the country is faced with in recent times.

Sudan earned eight points in the qualifying series and was able to beat Ghana in their home and draw goalless in Accra.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s Black Stars will not be making an appearance at the 2025 AFCON as they failed to qualify—something that has not happened in the last 20 years.

Ghana managed 3 points out of a possible 18 and failed to win one game in the qualifying series.

Coach of the Black Stars is under immense pressure to vacate the position for a competent hands to take the team.
