Three illegal miners are currently battling for their lives at the two separate health facilities following violent clashes among them.
The incident according to MyNewsGh.com’s Ashanti Regional Correspondent occurred in the early hours of Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Numere Forest in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region.
It is gathered that the illegal miners believed to have come from Obuasi,Apaho, Numereso and Dominase attacked themselves in the Numere Forest with machetes and guns.
In the ensuing violent exchanges, three of them have received serious machete and gunshot wounds.
Two of the victims were rushed Dominase Hospital while the other was sent to Obuasi Government Hospital for treatment in view of his condition.
Police in the area confirmed the incident to MyNewsGh.com but indicated that an arrest is yet to be made.
Details of what triggered the bloody clash is also unknown as the statements of the victims are yet to be taken.
