Former Black Stars goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey has laid his later father Jerry Franklin Kwarasey to rest in Ghana.The late Franklin Kwarasey passed away at the age of 66 after failing to overcome illness.The final funeral rites took place at St. Bakhita Catholic Church in Tema, followed by a burial at Lashibi Funeral Homes.Meanwhile, a thanksgiving service was held at St. Michael's Garrison Catholic Church in Accra.Kwarasey, born in Norway, chose to represent Ghana, making 24 appearances for the Black Stars between 2011 and 2016.He was the team's first choice during the 2012 AFCON and started Ghana's first game at the 2014 World Cup against the USA.Although he was considered for the national team's goalkeepers' trainer job last year, the position went to Fatau Dauda.Kwarasey is now in talks with Kenpong Football Academy to become their international relations manager, following a meeting with the academy's owner, Kennedy Agyepong, in Norway.The funeral service will be a celebration of Jerry Franklin Kwarasey's life, and the former goalkeeper will be joined by family, friends, and former teammates to pay their respects.
