The New Patriotic Party has picked the number 1 spot on the ballot paper for the 2024 elections.
This happened at an event held in Accra on September 20, 2024.
The opposition political party led by John Dramani Mahama also picked number 8 on the ballot paper.
All People’s Congress (APC) candidate, Hassan Abdulai Ayariga, secured the 9th spot.
Kofi Akpaloo of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) picked number 5, and Nana Akosua Frimpomaa of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) took the 7th position.
Prior to the balloting, the Chairperson for the Commission disclosed that 11 people who were disqualified from the race did not correct errors, even though they were given ample time to do so.
She further indicated that the people of Ghana will determine who becomes president and not the electoral commission.
