At a ceremony marked by promises of streamlined leadership, President John Dramani Mahama reassured Ghanaians that his government would be the leanest and most efficient in the nation’s history.
Speaking at the swearing-in of six newly appointed ministers at the Jubilee House in Accra on Wednesday, January 22, Mahama outlined his vision for governance rooted in efficiency and accountability.
“As the ministers are approved by Parliament and as they are sworn in, I will proceed to name deputy ministers for some of the ministries, which will bring the total number of ministers to 60,” the President announced, reaffirming his commitment to maintaining a compact and focused administration.
Mahama emphasized that this streamlined structure was not merely a campaign promise but a strategy designed to address Ghana’s pressing needs effectively.
“As I promised the people of Ghana, this will make this government Ghana’s leanest and most efficient government ever,” he reiterated.
