The Vice-President, Mahamudu Bawumia on Saturday (2 November) paid his final respects to the late Upper West Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Saanbaye Basilide Kangbere, popularly known as (Chairman Heavy Weight) at his burial service in Owlo.
He died at his home in Adjringaano, Accra on Friday (7 June).
Sharing the news on Facebook on Sunday (3 November) said Kangbere dedicated his life and service to the New Patriotic Party.
”On Saturday, 2 November, I led a New Patriotic Party (NPP: Development in Freedom) delegation for the burial and funeral service of our Upper West Regional Chairman Dr. Saanbaye Basilide Kangbere at Owlo in the Upper West Region.”
”Chairman S.B dedicated his life and services to NPP. May his gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace,” he said.
Bawumia was accompanied by some executives of the governing New Patriotic Party
