Dating is not part of my plans, says Adwoa Smart

Veteran Ghanaian actress Belinda Naa Ode Oku, popularly known as Adwoa Smart, has said in a candid interview that intimate relationships are not her top priority.

Speaking on Accra FM, Adwoa Smart emphasised the importance of focusing on what truly matters and dedicating time to meaningful pursuits. Adding that she tries to stay careful with her suitors and avoid the ‘pressure’ of relationships.

Adwoa Smart shared her cautious approach to relationships, stating she often turns down advances. She cited trust issues after experiencing situations where partners were secretly married or involved with others.

She stated that although she is not a virgin and has been a mother before, she is not promiscuous and trusts God’s timing to consider her suitors.

“Dating is not part of my plans at all for this moment. You only engage in some of these things when you have sorted out some critical things in your life. My mind is on more important things.

“You’d get into a relationship only to find out your partner is married or with someone else. Due to this, I don’t like these things. By God’s grace, I receive advances all the time. These are great men, but I’m only being careful, so I turn them down.

“I’ve been a mother before. In God’s own time, I will give someone a chance,” she said.
