The Leader of the Movement for Change and Independent Presidential candidate for the 2024 polls, Mr John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has asked Ghanaians to change their pattern of voting which focuses either on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) or New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Mr Kyerematen, Ghanaians after voting for these two parties since the beginning of the fourth republic have gained nothing better from them hence his quest for them to have a new force in government.
“It is time for us to change the pattern of voting. You can’t do the same thing repeatedly and expect different results”, Alan Kyerematen said this at the palace of Adansehene Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II on October 8, 2024, when he paid a courtesy call on him.
“How can two parties rule a country for 32 years and still have bad roads, so we must rethink and vote them out”, he added.
Alan Kyerematen stressed the need to change the constitution of the Republic of Ghana and promised he would do that if voted into power.
He also accused the two major political parties NPP, NDC of doing nothing to help the development of the people of Ghana saying “the two political parties have stayed in power for 32 years yet all our roads are in bad shape. If that is the case, then on what grounds are they telling us to vote for them again?”
“There are other places where people cannot get water to drink while there have been power outages. So let’s think about it critically”, Alan urged.
Mr Alan Kyerematen reiterated the need to change the 1992 constitution which according to him is one of the major reasons why the country is not developing.
