During her appearance on the Honest Brunch podcast hosted by Nedu Wazobia and Ezugwu Chukwudi (Husband Material), she shared some insightful views on the importance of grooming for men, offering a refreshing perspective on how men should present themselves.

In her candid remarks, Ajie emphasized that grooming is not just about appearance; it’s about how a man presents himself to the world, especially to women.

“Your physical appearance is the first thing that a woman notices,” she explained. “How you smell, how you carry yourself, and the clothes you wear are all crucial. The first thing anyone notices, especially women, is how clean and presentable you look.”

Ajie elaborated on what constitutes good grooming for men. She acknowledged that the right shirt, trousers, and shoes are essential components, but she drew the line when it came to nail polish. “I’m not talking about the people that wear nail polish.

Those ones, not children… artist they wear polish now… but for a responsible man, you don’t need colorful nail polish,” she clarified. For her, a simple transparent coat to keep the nails clean was acceptable, but black, red, or blue nail polish was a no-go.

She highlighted that, in her opinion, such choices were more suited to a different crowd. “If you polish your nails black, I can’t take you seriously,” she said. “It’s just around play.”
