Personnel of the Ghana Fire Service have rescued three people from a collapsed building at Sokoban Wood Village in the Ashanti Region.
A report from the Fire Service indicated that In the early hours of October 20, 2024, a single-storey building collapsed at Sokoban Wood Village in Kumasi.
The Kejetia Fire crew were said to have moved in swiftly to find that four workers in the building were trapped under the rubble.
The team successfully rescued three individuals.
However, one of the workers was found dead. The body according to the fire service was retrieved and handed over to the police for preservation and investigation.
The Ghana Fire Service used the opportunity to educate the populace on the need for strict adherence to safety protocols at construction sites.
