There’s nothing spectacular about Mathew Opoku Prempeh – Fiifi Kwetey

General Secretary for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fiifi Kwetey says there is nothing special about Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh.

He argues that the Energy Minister does not have the honour to accept the fact that Ghana is faced with a power crisis.

“What is spectacular about Mathew Opoku Prempeh? He’s been in charge of the Energy sector and he has not even got the honour and capacity to accept that we have a power crisis,” he said in a yet-to-be-aired interview on Accra-based TV3.

To Fiifi Kwetey, for someone who cannot take responsibility for the existing power crisis, he believes there is nothing the Energy Minister is bringing to the ticket for the 2024 elections.

On the difference between the two leading political parties in the country, he indicates that there is no perfect political system.

However, to Fiifi Kwetey it is sad when people place the NDC as being the same as the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“I say all the time that there is no perfect political system. But between the NDC and the NPP, it’s really sad if people actually make an effort to place us as the same,” he said.
