Newly appointed Medeama SC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has emphasized the importance of discipline as a key factor in achieving success at the club.The Tarkwa-based side confirmed Tankoâs appointment on a two-and-a-half-year deal on Wednesday, January 29, following his recent departure from Accra Lions.The former Ghana international replaces Evans Adotey, who now returns to his role as the clubâs technical director.Speaking after his appointment, Tanko made it clear that hard work and discipline will be central to his approach at Medeama.âYou need discipline in the group to achieve what you want. You have to be disciplined, you have to work hard,â he told the club.He also challenged his players to give their best, recognizing Medeamaâs status as one of the top clubs in Ghana.âI told them, you are playing in one of the best clubs in Ghana and definitely you have to give your best, and that is what we are going to do,â he added.Tankoâs first task as head coach will be Medeamaâs upcoming Ghana Premier League clash against Legon Cities on Sunday, February 3, 2025, at the TNA Stadium.
