Techiman South: Adjei Mensah Korsah speaks after winning

Member of Parliament elect for Techiman South, Adjei Mensah Korsah, has thanked God for delivering victory to him in the 2024 elections.

Adjei Mensah Korsah was declared the winner in the disputed election.

Korsah garnered 46,663 votes, defeating Christopher Bayere Basongti of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who polled 43,429 votes.

This win will mean he will be representing Techiman South in Parliament for the second time.

Speaking to the media after he was declared winner, Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah said, “I am grateful to God. It is the doing of the Lord.”

He used the opportunity to thank the people of Techiman Central saying “I thank them for their support and prayers.”.

This declaration comes in the wake of a High Court directive in Accra, which ordered the EC to finalize results in several constituencies, including Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, Ablekuma North, and Techiman South, by January 6, 2025. The court’s decision followed mandamus applications filed by NPP candidates to ensure transparency and the completion of outstanding collation processes.
