Restructure Black Stars' winning bonus - Kudjoe Fianoo urges Kofi Adams

Former Ghana League Clubs Association [GHALCA] chairman, Kudjoe Fianoo has urged Minister-designate for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams to restructure the winning bonus of the Black Stars. The bonuses of the senior national team have become a subject of discussion in recent years with some believing that some of the players are in for the money.The playing body currently earns winning and qualification bonuses during qualifiers ahead of the major tournaments.Some have called for the structure of payment of bonuses to be scrapped but Mr Fianoo speaking in an interview has charged the Member of Parliament for the Buem constituency to restructure the winning bonus of the team."I want the new Sports Minister [Kofi Adams] to handle this issue of co-efficient," he told Sporty FM."He must restructure the bonus structure of the Black Stars," he added.Kofi Adams is expected to be approved by Parliament after successfully going through vetting. If approved, he will replace Mustapha Ussif who served from 2021 to 2024.
