Prophet Kusi Appiah has addressed growing speculation about his association with the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a clear statement, he refuted claims suggesting that he has been working with the party to influence the election outcomes, particularly about the 2024 defeat of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
In an interview on Lawson TV/Radio monitored by MyNewsGH, Prophet Kusi emphasized, “I am not working for the NPP.
I am not involved in any plot against the NDC or any other political party. My duty as a prophet is to deliver the messages I receive from God without political bias or interference.”
His words aim to dispel any misunderstanding that may have arisen about his role in Ghana’s political landscape, especially following his high-profile prophecies about the 2024 elections.
The prophet did, however, express a personal fondness for Bawumia, acknowledging a connection with the NPP flagbearer.
“I’ve known Bawumia for some time, and I believe he was divinely chosen for this role. I have always supported him, not out of political alignment but out of respect for what I believe is his divine appointment.
But that’s where my involvement ends,” Prophet Kusi clarified. This assertion raises questions about the role of faith in politics and the fine line between spiritual guidance and political influence.
When the conversation shifted to the possible influence of Bawumia’s running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), on the NPP’s 2024 election outcome, Prophet Kusi maintained a neutral stance.
“I don’t get involved in the specifics of political decisions. My role is spiritual; I’m here to share the prophecies I receive from God, not to speculate on political strategies or outcomes,” he said.
