PM Sports Foundation looks to get scholarships abroad for girls in tennis

The CEO of PM Sports Foundation, Peter Mensah says his foundation is looking to partner with more USA colleges and universities to help girls in Ghana to get sports scholarships through tennis.

Peter revealed this during a one-week-long “EmpowHER Girl Camp” for selected girls from a cluster of schools in Mamrpobi, Accra.

The program started on Monday, 29, July, and will end today; aimed at empowering girls through Education and Sports to enrich their lives.

“We have a partnership with an organization in the US who’ll come over and recruit young boys and girls into college tennis- and that’s our target. So if any of these girls can make it to tennis and get into university scholarships in the states, we’ll see ourselves successful.- Peter told Asaase sports.

My colleagues and I who grew up here went through college tennis in the USA, there are quite a lot of different institutions that are now really looking into children’s sports in Africa.

Majority of them are offering scholarships because the fees are way too high.”
