NDC manifesto: Not perfect but achievable, says Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has acknowledged that its 2024 manifesto is not flawless but insists that it offers practical and achievable policies.

Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party’s general secretary, made these remarks during the manifesto’s launch in Winneba, Central Region, on Saturday (24 August).

Kwetey emphasised that the NDC’s manifesto, while not perfect, is a commitment to deliver on promises that the party believes are attainable.

“Our manifesto that we are presenting to you today, just as we have done in the past, is a manifesto that will be delivering to you promises and policies that we know are achievable,” Kwetey stated.

“The things that we cannot do we will not talk about but what it is that we can do we will elaborate [on] today in order for the country to know the clear difference between the NDC and the NPP (New Patriotic Party).”

Kwetey highlighted that though the manifesto is not perfect, he assured Ghanaians that the party is open to feedback and committed to making necessary corrections to deliver a better future.

“The manifesto we are presenting today is by no means going to be a perfect manifesto, but one thing we can promise you is the humility of the leadership, the humility of John Mahama [and] the humility of the people who are going to work with him to be able to say if there is a problem, we will be able to receive the necessary feedback and do the corrections in order to be able to deliver for the future,” he concluded.
