All is set for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to launch its Campaign for the 2024 General Elections in Tamale tomorrow, July 27, 2024.
The party’s most powerful personalities, including its flagbearer and leader John Mahama and every other person who matters in the organization of the programme are already in Tamale or set to arrive soon.
“Our MPs and parliamentary candidates will be there; the flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama with our party leadership led by Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey our General Secretary will all be there; Council of Elders of the party will be there.
As it were, what we call regrouping for victory, with the theme: ‘Changing to Reset’,” the Deputy General Secretary of NDC , Mustapha Gbande had said in interview with Citi FM.
The party has pledged that the ceremony will be a most modest one given that the party’s focus is on reaching voters in their homes or workplaces within the constituencies instead of lavish rallies.
“it will be a modest event just to signify that we have blown the whistle for various campaign activities to begin. We are departing from our usual ways of placing emphasis on jamboree campaigns and so on,” National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia had said.
Some credible polls have shown that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will emerge victorious in the 2024 General Elections. But the party has said it is not complacent but is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the party wins convincingly.
