Musician Fameye has disclosed that the sad songs he sings are reflective of the life he lived while growing up.
The musician, who is an orphan, indicated that he lost both parents at a very tender age and was taken care of by his grandmother.
However, at age eight, he was brought to Accra to live with his auntie.
At age eight, he was tasked with a number of responsibilities, which he felt were not for people his age, however, he performed his responsibilities without complaining.
He indicated that the pain he suffered at the time is mostly what he reflects on in his music.
“People say I sing sad songs but the reality is that I reflect on my life growing up and the things I had to ensure and that is what I sing about. Ama Boahemaa’s songs were songs that I sing to encourage me,” he said.
He further paid tribute to King Ayisoba for his song “The Whole World” as one of the songs that inspired him.
