Football fans are of the view that Mohammed Kudus was not effective in Ghana’s game against Sudan because of the jersey he wore for the game.
They believe that if Kudus was made to wear his own jersey even as Captain, he would have been very effective on the day.
In an interview with Joy Sports after Ghana’s goalless draw against Sudan, one fan said “when we went to Morocco to play against Niger, the ten jersey they gave to the new boy, the boy could not play anything and he was substituted.
Today too, our star boy somebody who knows how to play football, they gave him captain fine but they forced the ten jersey on him instead of his 20 jersey.n
Our leaders don’t learn from their mistakes. They give ten jersey to another boy and he didn’t play anything and you give it to Kudus and see the chances that he got and wasted them. We tried to give the 10 jersey to Kwadwo Asamoah and he said no he doesn’t like it,” he said in a rather broken language.
